A new import in EMEA
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, PCIFIC Esports and Johann "seven" Hernandez have reached a verbal agreement for VCT EMEA 2026. The Mexican player, who competed with TSM this year, will switch regions and finally step into Tier 1 by joining the winners of the EMEA Ascension tournament. Completely gutted by BBL Esports, who signed away the entire staff and all five players, PCIFIC is now in the middle of a full rebuild as it prepares for its debut season in the league.
For 2026, seven is one of the names locked in by PCIFIC, joining Mateja "qpert" Mijović, Patryk "NINJA" Koczyba and the coach Kaan "Leader" Taşpınar, all reported by Sheep Esports.
Close to join VCT Americas
Seven joined TSM in March 2023 and was only benched for a few months at the end of that year, before returning to the starting lineup ahead of Split 1 in 2024. That same year, TSM failed to secure any trophies, but still managed to qualify for Ascension, where the team finished 6th, far from the coveted promotion spot to VCT Americas. It would ultimately take until 2025 for the team to truly restart its engine, stabilize its project and finally begin to collect titles again.
During Stage 1 and Stage 2 of 2025, the North American club could not find the right formula, stringing together two consecutive 5th–6th place finishes before finally building real momentum. After escaping the group stage with a 3–2 record, narrowly avoiding elimination before playoffs, TSM went on to win the Stage 3 title, notably defeating ENVY 3–1 in the grand final. That success allowed seven and his teammates to qualify for Ascension and fully enter the race for Tier 1 promotion, putting the team back on the wider VALORANT map.
And finally joining VCT EMEA
Arriving in the Swiss stage, the team advanced with a clean 2–0 record, beating ENVY once again to secure a spot in the playoffs, where they would eventually meet them for a third time in the grand final. In the decisive match for a place in VCT, ENVY finally got the better of TSM with a 3–1 victory, a result that accelerated TSM’s decision to disband the roster. The organization announced the closure of its VALORANT division shortly afterward, bringing an end to seven’s long run with the club and freeing him to look for a new opportunity at the highest level.
Seven is now joining his first true Tier 1 project, and doing so by changing regions. There, he links up with a club that also made its way through Ascension, but one that went all the way by defeating Dsyre in the grand final and qualifying to VCT EMEA alongside ULF Esports, the other Turkish team to emerge from the tournament. After that high, the fall was much harsher: all of PCIFIC’s players ended up leaving for BBL Esports. The Turkish organization, already competing in VCT, had started supporting PCIFIC earlier in the year by attaching its name as a sponsor to the project, and later drew criticism from the community for signing the entire roster and staff block.
