This would mark the first roster change for the Spanish organization since Stage 1 of 2024
After a rollercoaster 2025 season, Team Heretics are considering changes to their roster heading into the 2026 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) EMEA. According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Lithuanian Duelist Dominykas "MiniBoo" Lukaševičius has been allowed to explore his options for next year.
If MiniBoo were to find a new team, it would mark the first roster change for the Spanish organization since Stage 1 of 2024. Coming right after Heretics’ elimination from VALORANT Champions Paris, this move sends a strong message on the offseason market.
A Historic Shift
This development signals the end of an era — both for Team Heretics and for MiniBoo, who has been part of the Spanish organization since 2023. The Lithuanian Duelist played a pivotal role in the team’s rise to the VCT, as well as in its explosive results in the years since. In their very first year, Heretics finished 2nd at the Kickoff, 2nd at Stage 1, and 3rd at Stage 2, before capping off the season with a stunning runner-up finish at Champions 2024.
The 2025 campaign, however, proved to be more uneven. The year began strongly, with back-to-back podium finishes (3rd at Kickoff and 2nd at Stage 1). But the team stumbled at its first international outing of the season, finishing 11th–12th at Masters Toronto. Heretics bounced back later that summer, finally claiming their first-ever international trophy at the 2025 Esports World Cup.
Returning to Europe brought fresh struggles. Despite going undefeated in the Group Phase of VCT Stage 2, Heretics crashed out in the Playoffs with a 5th–6th place finish. The team’s final appearance of the year came at Champions 2025, where they were eliminated in the Lower Bracket after a hard-fought 1-2 loss to Paper Rex. Still, their campaign in Paris included key wins over T1 and G2, proving once again that they remain a top contender in the world stage.
Despite those flashes of brilliance, Team Heretics appear unsatisfied with their overall results in 2025 and will now look for a new Duelist heading into next season. The main question remains: will MiniBoo be the only player allowed to explore options, or could the team be planning broader changes for 2026.
