Leviatán’s run at VCT 2025: Americas Stage 1 ended in the group stage
According to Sheep Esports sources, Leviatán have allowed Max "Demon1" Mazanov and Daniel "Rossy" Abedrabbo to explore their options as the team looks to replace them. For context, Leviatán started the Kickoff tournament strong with a 2-0 win over FURIA in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals, before facing G2 Esports in the Semifinals — a challenge that proved too difficult, sending them to the Lower Bracket. There, they faced MIBR and were eliminated after a narrow 2-1 loss.
Disappointing results, but nothing too alarming at first — it was at the start of Stage 1 that things truly began to fall apart for the team. Back-to-back losses against MIBR and Cloud9 set a rough tone for Leviatán’s split. They managed to bounce back with a 2-0 win over FURIA, a glimmer of hope that was quickly snuffed out by the Kickoff champions, G2, who once again defeated them. A final chance against NRG ended in a clean 2-0 loss, ultimately sealing the fate of the Argentine squad.
Demon1, an experienced player
The team’s decision comes as part of an urgent need for change, aiming to shift momentum ahead of the upcoming split. The players currently being considered to be replaced are of notable caliber — Demon1, for instance, won the VALORANT Champions 2023 with Evil Geniuses and was named MVP of the tournament. As for Rossy, he competed with T1 in the VCT Pacific during the 2024 season and previously played for Immortals and TSM. He joined Leviatán just under two months ago and is already on his way out.
