The new PRX player is already known
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Adrian "invy" Reyes has reached a verbal agreement to replace Patrick "PatMen" Mendoza on Paper Rex for the upcoming VCT Pacific season. PatMen, who joined PRX last March in place of Aaron "mindfreak" Leonhart, now looks set to make way for another Filipino player. After three seasons with Team Secret, invy is preparing to sign with the powerhouse of the Asian league, an organization coming off another almost perfect year.
Primarily known as a Controller player with solid flex potential, PatMen appears poised to be replaced by someone cut from a very similar cloth. invy has also shown the ability to flex, with a few appearances on Duelists and Sentinels, but spent most of his 2025 VCT campaign on Sova, Fade or Gekko. Across his three seasons with Team Secret, invy never really managed to find consistent success, with the team often stuck in the middle or lower half of the Pacific standings. The 2025 season was the most difficult in that regard, starting with a 9th–12th place finish at Kickoff after losses to Global Esports and Rex Regum Qeon.
A major project change of invy
The rest of the year did not bring much more success, as Team Secret finished 11th–12th in Stage 1, picking up just one series win out of five in the Omega group. Their one bright spot came at the Asian Champions League, the qualifier for the Esports World Cup, where Team Secret strung together two wins before dropping the decisive playoff match and narrowly missing out on a trip to Saudi Arabia. That brief surge in form was not enough to carry invy and his teammates into Split 2, where they once again ended the group stage with four losses to a single win.
On the other side, Paper Rex, the new home of the Filipino player, continued to shine throughout the year and finally secured its first international title. Almost ever-present at international LANs, PRX had already collected multiple podium finishes, including a grand final appearance at VALORANT Champions 2023 that ended in defeat against Evil Geniuses, but had always fallen just short of the trophy. That changed at Masters Toronto, where the team achieved a dominant run and lifted the championship after dropping only a single map in the playoffs.
