TALON parts ways with head coach Hector “FrosT” Rosario
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, VALORANT VCT Pacific team TALON Esports won't extend Head Coach Hector “FrosT” Rosario's contract. Assistant Coach Jovanni "Jovi" Vera is also a free agent. Per sources, Global Esports has contacted FrosT but also has multiple options. During a post-season conference, FrosT already warned: "My contract is expiring, so I don't know if I'll be here next year... but you (the players) should all know that it has been an honor and a privilege to coach you."
His remarks mark the end of his time with the team. During this year, TALON climbed through the rankings, achieving 5th-6th place in Stage 1 and a top 3 in Stage 2, where they lost 2-3 to Rex Regum Qeon in the lower final and therefore missed Champions qualification.
The best result
FrosT previously coached 100 Thieves, whom he drove to the semi-finals of the Masters Berlin 2021. He also worked with FURIA as a manager, before joining TALON in December 2023. In two years, this third place is the best he has managed to achieve in two years with TALON. In 2024, despite finishing slightly lower (in fourth place), TALON still managed to qualify for Champions. However, the team failed to advance beyond the Swiss Stage, losing both of its matches without securing a single map.
