dos9 is the first signing for KC this offseason
Smoker Dastan "dos9" Zhumagali is expected to be Karmine Corp's first signing for the 2026 VCT EMEA season, sources tell Sheep Esports. While Sheep Esports recently reported that Matias "Saadhak" Delipetro would no longer be part of the team, dos9 would therefore be the French organization's first recruit during this offseason.
dos9 was part of the BOOM Esports team this season. He was playing his rookie year with the Indonesian team for their first year in VCT Pacific. With the last-minute invite following the collapse of Bleed Esports, BOOM has had a tough year. As the team currently competes in the Ascension tournament for 2026, dos9 left the team at the end of Stage 2 in search of a new project.
Strong performances in the midst of a struggling team
BOOM Esports' performances have fluctuated between very good and very bad this season. At the kickoff, the team was quickly eliminated after two lost BO3s. In Stage 1, the players impressed by finishing first in their group without conceding a single defeat and by beating teams like Paper Rex, Gen.G, and DRX. The team would fail to capitalize in the playoffs, not winning a single match. In Stage 2, the team falls back into its old habits and finishes 0-5 with only one game won out of five BO3s.
In both good and bad times, dos9 has nevertheless remained one of the most consistent players on his team. Positioned in a smoker role, he often topped the scoreboard in his team's matches. He is also statistically the most prolific player on the team over the entire year.
Karmine’s new face is taking shape
Karmine Corp tried everything to secure a spot at the Champions this season but without success. Too inconsistent throughout the year and unable to finish important rounds, KC can blame themselves for seeing that spot slip away while the competition was partly taking place in their arena. As a result, the organization is making changes in its roster. Saadhak is expected to leave the team for KRÜ Esports next year, while Efe "Elite" Teber and Artur "pyrolll" Minin are also not expected to stay.
On the other hand, in addition to the arrival of dos9, Karmine should continue with Hazem "avez" Khaled and Dmitrii "SUYGETSU" Iliushin, both of whom showed good performances at times last year. The coaching staff present for the past two years should also be the same for next year. With this new arrival, the face of KC for the year 2026 is gradually taking shape.
