LEV secure rising Initiator
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Leviatán have reached a verbal agreement with Guilherme "blowz" Oliveira for the 2026 VCT Americas season. The young Brazilian talent is expected to move up from the academy roster, where he has been playing since December 2024, to the main squad competing at the highest level of VALORANT. Bruno Povoleri from THESPIKE was first on this story.
Several other South American organizations were reportedly interested in signing him, but since LEV still holds his contract, any potential suitor would have had to pay a buyout. From what we have learned, the Brazilian Initiator himself was also more drawn to Leviatán’s project than to the alternatives being considered.
A long-term project
According to Sheep Esports sources, the verbal agreement with blowz is for a two-year deal with LEV, similar to the agreement reached with Rodrigo "spikeziN" Lombardi, which we revealed on Friday, September 5. The strongest option to guide both Brazilians at this stage appears to be Rodrigo "Onur" Dalmagro, currently the head coach of Leviatán’s academy roster, although nothing has been finalized yet. After a difficult year with a primarily North American lineup, the team now seems to be shifting towards a long-term project centered around South American players who share Spanish and Portuguese as their native languages.
With the strategy adopted in 2025, the Argentine organization struggled to find its rhythm within VCT Americas. After a strong third-place finish at Champions Seoul in 2024, Leviatán failed to qualify for a single international LAN event in 2025. Reflecting this change in direction, the club announced on Thursday, September 4, that Ian "tex" Botsch, Corbin "C0M" Lee, and Anthony "okeanos" Nguyen have been moved to the bench. Meanwhile, Francisco "kiNgg" Aravena and Eduardo "Sato" Nagahama remain part of the active roster.
A deserved promotion
With this shift, blowz now looks set to make his debut on the international VALORANT stage, moving from the academy roster to the VCT squad. Joining the club at the end of 2024, he quickly established himself as one of the prospects to watch. Still only 17 years old—his birthday is coming up on November 8—he is regarded as one of the brightest talents that South American clubs were eager to secure. A natural Sova main, the Brazilian is most comfortable in the Initiator role, a position that remains open within Leviatán’s rebuilding roster.
With the academy team, blowz and his teammates dominated the Challengers Latin America South circuit throughout the year, winning Stage 1 – Ace Masters, Stage 1 itself, and Stage 2. Their run was nearly flawless, with the only blemish being a loss in the Stage 2 – Ace Masters final, but even that does little to overshadow an otherwise remarkable season.
