Coach Lee "
Bail" Sung-jae will join
JD Gaming for the 2026
VCT China year. This will be the third team the Korean coach will join since the new VCT format in 2023. After achieving promising results with
Bilibili Gaming this year, Bail failed to take his team to the next level on the international stage. He is therefore joining a new project for the year 2026 while JDG continues to build its new team.
Bail joined the coaching staff of BLG in 2024 after a complicated start on his side in VCT with Gen.G. Upon his arrival at BLG, the team already had good potential, and under Bail's guidance, they narrowly reached the Champions after climbing the rankings throughout the year. However, the team finishes last in their group. This year, the team continues to progress and reaches the top of the VCT China rankings. Third at Kickoff, then second at Stage 1, BLG wins their first VCT title during Stage 2.
Unfortunately for the team, much like their
League of Legends counterparts this season, shining in their region does not mean performing internationally. BLG fails to make the playoffs at both the
Masters Toronto and the
Esports World Cup. They finish last in their group at the Champions for the second year in a row. With a contract that expires at the end of this season, Bail has decided to take on a new challenge.
This challenge will be to make JDG a top team in VCT China. Since their arrival in the big league in 2024, the team has failed to establish themselves at the top of the rankings. This season is further proof of that. Only three BOs won in VCT throughout the year. The team failed to qualify for the playoffs during both splits. Disappointing results that do not live up to the team's reputation. To change that,
the team has just recruited Niu "zhe" Zhe as the new duelist and is counting on Bail to advance the team as he was able to do with BLG.
