BDS is now considering replacements in three different roles but can also keep the players
Team BDS is actively exploring options in the top and bot lanes with no final decisions reached, according to Sheep Esports sources. As reported yesterday, the Swiss team will also have a new jungler for the LEC Summer split — Doğukan "113" Balcı has made the decision to step back from the team.
With BDS eliminated in eighth place — the Swiss organization's worst result since 2022 Summer — the team has wasted no time looking for solutions. The organization has yet to reach a decision on replacements, but is currently organizing tryouts with ERL players and teams.
The organization has not decided if it will change these roles, it can stick with the players, but is currently organizing tryouts with ERL players and teams.
Historically, Joel "Irrelevant" Miro Scharoll and Yoon "Ice" Sang-hoon have been among the best performers in their roles in the league — Ice, even this split, played well individually.
As coach Yanis "Striker" Kella indicated online, 113's decision came as a reaction to the tryouts process; rather than waiting on final roster decisions by management, the Turkish jungler took the decision into his own hands. Irrelevant Ice and Parus on the other hand, have chosen to actively participate in the tryouts process, hoping to earn their positions in Europe's best league.
BDS has already requested information on the rescission clauses of several players: toplaners Sebastian "Tracyn" Wojtoń and Volodymyr "Maynter" Sorokin, jungler Kacper "Daglas" Dagiel, and ADC Khalil "Rin" Sahraoui — with several others expected to join them in the tryouts process as ERL regular seasons come to an end.
Although nothing has been decided on paper, it seems clear that the LEC offseason ahead of the Summer split will be lively, rife with roster changes from teams with higher expectations than their Winter and Spring split results.
