Joblife may have been compelled to start recruiting late for their first-ever
LFL roster, but the club founded by Toma “JL Tomy” Abdellaoui didn’t need to look far for its coaching staff. According to Sheep Esports sources, the organization will retain its
Head Coach, Tim “
Sh0x” Jannik Rücker, and
Assistant Coach, Rafael “
Yong” Bernardino, for its debut in the French
League of Legends premier division.
Sh0x joined Yong mid-season in 2024 for the Div2 Summer Split. Previously, the German coach had spent a year and a half as Assistant Coach in his home country’s Prime League with BIG. The pair saw immediate success with Joblife, starting the Summer Split with six straight wins. With a record of 13 wins and five losses in the regular season, Joblife finished third, easily securing a playoff spot.
However, the team, featuring toplane prodigy Mehdi “Potent” Ahmed Bouchaffra, fell to IziDream in the second round of the finals. As a result, Joblife missed out on qualifying for the Up&Down tournament and lost all hope of promotion, as they had in their two prior seasons in the French second division. A few weeks later, circumstances shifted in their favor: former Div2 companion Team du Sud (TDS) withdrew from the LFL after only one year, citing the need to protect the health of its founders.
Joblife were selected by LFL organizer Webedia to replace TDS in the LFL, as previously reported by Sheep Esports. Despite the challenge of a late offseason start, JL quickly
assembled the five players who would bring Sh0x and Yong’s project to life: toplaner Leny “Leny” Albertini, jungler Mustafa “RAMES” Korkmaz, midlaner Dimitri “Diplex” Ponomarev, AD Carry Luke “Deadly” Smith, and support Elton “Twiizt” Richie Garcia Spetsig.
