While
Team BDS was only missing an AD Carry to be complete, the Swiss organization has finally found its last player. The team has opted for an import with the arrival of Park "
Paduck" Seok-hyeon, sources tell
Sheep Esports.
With the departure of Yoon "
Ice" Sang-hoon after two seasons with Team BDS, another Korean will replace the player. Paduck played a few games this season for
KT Rolster in the
LCK and spent the majority of his season in the
LCK Challengers League. At 20 years old, Paduck has not yet had the opportunity to fully express himself in a major league. Trained at
DRX Academy, the player joined the LCK team in the summer of 2023, but his team achieved mediocre results.
He will then make a few appearances in the LCK with DRX in 2024 and then with KT Rolster this year without being able to keep his spot. He spent the majority of his year with KT Rolster Challengers, with whom he even reached the LCK CL final before losing to FEARX Youth. He earned seven MVP awards during the regular season. Paduck is taking a new turn in his career by joining Europe and the LEC, where he received several offers during the offseason. He was notably considered by Fnatic for the position, but it is with Team BDS in the end that he will be playing next season.
In this team, Paduck will meet another Korean against whom he played in LCK CL. This is Shin "
Rooster" Yun-hwan,
whom the team wanted to keep, just like Ilias "
nuc" Bizriken and Mehdi "
Boukada" Lahlou. As previously reported by Sheep Esports,
Adrian "Trymbi" Trybus completes this team after a year spent in LTA South with Vivo Keyd Stars. He will be paired with Paduck for a brand new botlane.
With this team, Team BDS hopes to have a better year than last year. Despite an ambitious project, the team couldn't do better than a 5th-6th place in the winter split. Ice, who was having an extraordinary season in 2024, saw his performances decline throughout this season and ultimately left the team. Paduck will have the difficult task of following after his compatriot surrounded by a new team.
