The GLL Champions Acquire a new Top-Side

Top laner Erkmen "NuQ" Erdoğdu and Jungler Stéphane "Manaty" Dimier are set to join Team Phantasma in the Greek Legends League (GLL), sources have told Sheep Esports. The team's mid-laner and bot lane duo are set to remain in the Greek organization.

The Greek Champions

Team Phantasma has found a lot of success this spring after defeating the former GLL champions, Anorthosis Famagusta, in the finals. With this regional success, Phantasma qualified all the way to EMEA Masters play-ins. While the team managed to qualify in second place out of their group, it failed to qualify for the main stage following their 0-2 defeat against Nigma Galaxy in the final round.

For the Summer Split, Phantasma is expected to retain their three Greek players: mid-laner Petros "Peppe" Berdebes, AD Carry Stavros "Vaynedeta" Giannoulakis, and Support Nikos "HungryPanda" Nikolaidis.

Players from France

NuQ, transitioning from Joblife, is set to join Phantasma following a commendable performance in the LFL Second division, where he and his team secured a top 3 finish this spring. His presence is recognized among French enthusiasts, having previously competed for Team GO in 2022. Additionally, NuQ has also left an imprint on the Greek scene through his tenure with We Love Gaming, a notable Greek organization, toward the end of 2023.

In contrast, Manaty is making a return to professional play after a split off. Also a former Joblife player, the French jungler's most recent stint was with Klanik Esports in the LFL Division 2. Manaty and his team had reached playoffs back then but couldn't make it further than sixth place.

In Phantasma, Manaty will be taking over the position left by Jungler Mustafa "RAMES" Korkmaz, whose future destination is currently undecided. However, it is likely that the player will compete in the Turkish or Arabian league next split.

Joining Phantasma might be really attractive for NuQ and Manaty. If Phantasma repeats its success and lifts the GLL trophy once again this summer, they might be able to qualify directly into the EMEA Masters Group Stage thanks to the recent format changes.
