After a year in the LEC, Loopy is returning to the Americas, this time joining the CBLOL
Kim "Loopy" Dong-hyeon is set to join Vivo Keyd Stars in the CBLOL, sources tell Sheep Esports on Saturday. Extending Adrian "Trymbi" Trybus had been the Brazilian club’s first option, but the Polish support ultimately decided to return to the LEC with Team BDS. Loopy will therefore make the reverse move and join VKS.
After a year with SK Gaming in the LEC, the South Korean support is returning to the Americas. In 2024, he competed in the LLA with Isurus, and now he’ll continue his professional career in the CBLOL with Vivo Keyd Stars. The #LoopyNation will get to see him in a new league — this time with a team fighting at the top of the standings.
A New Chapter For Loopy
At only 21 years old, Loopy is set to join the fifth team of his career — one that began with DAMWON Academy in the LCK AS. He later moved up to the LCK CL with BRION Challengers before returning to Dplus KIA Challengers, where he won the 2023 Spring Split. At the end of 2024, he left South Korea to join Isurus in the LLA, where he finished third in the league.
Loopy truly came into the spotlight when he joined the LEC at the start of 2025 with SK. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned, with SK finishing ninth in both the Winter and Spring Splits, and last in Group B during Summer. Despite the struggles, Loopy built a dedicated fanbase — the #LoopyNation. In an interview with Sheep Esports last August, he said, “#LoopyNation helped bring more attention to me; it gives me a chance to change the minds of people who think I’m a bad player.”
