Coming from one split in the LLA with Isurus Gaming, Kim "
Loopy" Dong-hyeon has reached a verbal agreement with
SK Gaming according to sources close to Sheep Esports. He is set to replace Lee "Luon" Hyun-ho, who was chosen over him last Summer, and will bolster the club’s botlane alongside Cho "Rahel" Min-seong, his former teammate at Dplus KIA Challengers. Loopy was the team’s second choice this offseason, with Yoon "Jun" Se-jun initially being their first option
before ultimately deciding to join GIANTX, as reported by Sheep Esports.
Loopy began his career with Damwon Academy in 2020 before transferring to BRO Academy. At the end of 2021, he was promoted to BRO Challengers, where he played throughout 2022. The following year, he remained in the LCK CL league but returned to Damwon Challengers, now rebranded as Dplus KIA Challengers.
He played with them in the 2023 Spring Split, winning the tournament with the team, and in the 2024 Spring Split, where they finished as runners-up. During these two very successful splits, he joined forces with Rahel, whom he is now reunited with at SK Gaming.
Mid-season this year, Loopy decided to leave South Korea, likely due to limited opportunities in the league, and went on to play in the second split of the Liga Latinoamérica with Isurus Gaming. He led the team to secure a strong third-place finish.
