It's an unexpected return, to say the least. Sources have confirmed to Sheep Esports that former TSM Academy midlaner Jackson âKatEvolvedâ Dohan is set to compete in an ERL team for the 2025 season. While the NLC has enjoyed a surge in popularity thanks to high-profile and seasoned players joining its ranks, the Prime Leagueârepresenting the DACH regionâis making moves to keep pace.
Indeed, according to our sources, KatEvolved is set to join the newly formed team by
Muhammed âAgurinâ Kocak for the upcoming
Prime League season. The "worldâs best Katarina player", according to his X bio, KatEvolved had decided to focus on streaming after spending a single season in the LCS Academy League back in 2020. However, the Canadian midlaner, who was among the best in his position during his tenure in North America's second division, admitted a year later that he regretted this decision.
KatEvolved is crossing the Atlantic to reignite a promising chapter in his career. He began grinding European Solo Queue in late November and achieved Challenger rank in just nine daysâa remarkable feat highlighted by a 75% win rate with Katarina and an astounding 91% with Akali. While this level of success is impressive, itâs far from surprising given his history of reaching rank 1 in North America. Adding to his accolades, the midlaner also climbed to Challenger on the highly competitive South Korean server, notably without relying on his signature champion, Katarina.
KatEvolved is now the third reported player on Agurin's roster, joining the jungler himself and the AD Carry Nihat âInnaxeâ Aliev, who will fill the position initially intended for Jona âReptileâ Fritz, as previously reported by Sheep Esports.
As a reminder, Agurin was formerly part of NNO Prime, a team that relinquished its spot in the Prime League for the upcoming season.
The jungler has opted to retain the slot to assemble a new roster around himself. The name of the team remains undisclosed, and two positionsâtoplane and supportâare yet to be reported.
