Ice will begin his third year in the LEC with Team Heretics
Yoon “Ice” Sang-hoon is set to join Team Heretics in the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) for the 2026 season, sources tell Sheep Esports on Wednesday. The South Korean AD Carry is leaving Team BDS after two years with the Swiss organization.
As previously reported by Sheep Esports, Team Heretics had allowed their long-time AD Carry, Víctor "Flakked" Lirola Tortosa, who was at the end of his contract, to explore his options. Per sources, Team Heretics asked for ERL players such as Franciszek “Harpoon” Gryszkiewicz, Josip “Jopa” Čančar (who ultimately joined SK Gaming), and Thomas “3XA” Foucou. Other import players were also considered, including Kim “Berserker”.
In the end, Team Heretics’ final decision was between 3XA, Ice, and Flakked, being this 3 ADC the ones who Heretics showed more interest, the spanish organization ultimately decided to take Ice for their LEC roster.
The Complete Team Heretics Lineup
With Ice’s arrival, the Heretics roster is now complete. As announced by the team, Sebastian “Tracyn” Wojtoń has been promoted to the toplane from their academy roster. As previously reported by Sheep Esports, Theo “Sheo” Borile and Paul “Stend” Lardin will be joined by Tolga “Serin” Ölmez and Ice.
As for the coaching staff, Team Heretics were unable to reach an agreement with their head coach Víctor “Machuki” Machuca Segura. As a result, Jonas “Hidon” Vraa will take charge of the team. Other names considered for the position included Simon “Swiffer” Papamarkos and Arvindir “Arvindir” Singh. Hidon will be joined by Emre “Arkhe” Akpınarlı as assistant coach.
Ice and Sheo Reunited
This move marks the reunion of Sheo and Ice, who previously played together for two years with Team BDS. Ice began his career in 2020 with Liiv SANDBOX Academy in the LCK AS before being promoted to the LCK CL, where he played around fifteen series in the LCK during Spring 2022.
In Summer 2023, he joined Zero Tenacity in Poland. 2024 was the year Europe truly discovered Ice. He joined Team BDS in the Winter Split and delivered strong performances throughout the season, as part of a roster that left its mark on Europe alongside Adam “Adam” Maanane, Sheo, Ilias “nuc” Bizriken, and Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis.
The team finished third in all three splits, though the end of the year was disappointing as they fell short of qualifying for Worlds. 2025 proved to be a much tougher year for him and BDS, with several roster changes — including at support — and finishes of sixth in Winter, eighth in Spring, and eighth again in Summer.
