Ruddy Esports — and the NLC as a whole — have been making waves in the offseason. After
Sheep Esports reported an early roster plan featuring Lucas “
Perkz” Perković, Marcin “
Jankos” Jankowski, Adam “
LIDER” Ilyasov, Jakob “
Jackspektra” Kepple, and Alf-Kristian "
Nash" Sund, fans were excited to see the team compete against Caedrel's fan-favorite
Los Ratones in the NLC. However, with Jackspektra deciding to join the LEC broadcast next year — and become a Team Heretics content creator — Ruddy pivoted to a new ADC and support, still focused on maximizing content and fan appeal.
Humzh, a Yemeni-American streamer and YouTuber known for playing Draven, has been bootcamping in EUW for months. With 200 thousand followers on Twitch, he'll be able to take advantage of the new ERL rules permitting POV streams of tournament games. He won't be the only large streamer competing in the league — LR's Simon "Thebausffs" Hofverberg has dominated the conversation about his team well before the start of the competitive season.
At 24-year-old, Ruddy will mark Humzh’s first-ever esports competition experience. However, the player is not unfamiliar with the scene, as he has long been an avid esports viewer with a strong desire to compete. While he will be the player with the least experience on his team, Humzh is in an ideal roster to learn quickly from his highly experienced teammates.
In the bot lane, he will be joined by a former LEC player in the support position, with details to be revealed by Sheep Esports in the coming days.
Regarding recent attention to the NLC, Sheep Esports will soon update its
Transfers Hub to integrate NLC rosters, including teams such as Los Ratones and Ruddy Esports. You can also read our
guide about the NLC if you're unfamiliar with the league.
