Softorious will serve as the team’s head coach
Galions is set to launch an academy roster in Ligue Française de League of Legends (LFL) Division 2 for the 2026 season, sources tell Sheep Esports on Friday. The French organization will now operate two teams in the domestic ecosystem, adding this new lineup alongside its already established LFL squad.
Galions will become the second French organization to field two teams across both tiers of French League of Legends in 2025, following in the footsteps of Karmine Corp and its KC Blue Stars project launched in 2025, after Webedia’s decision to once again allow academy teams to compete in the second division. However, Galions isn’t the only LFL organization joining the league this offseason; more are expected to make a similar move. In the past, several LFL organizations operated academy rosters, including Solary, GameWard, GamersOrigin, and LDLC.
Galions’ academy team is also expected to take part in the tournament, replacing the LFL Flash In, which could potentially see them face their main roster.
Softorius Will Lead The Team
So far, only the head coach has been confirmed: Anton “Softorious” Lüning. The 25-year-old Swedish coach is entering his seventh year in the role, having started his career in the Nordic leagues with FALKN. He moved to the NLC in 2022 with Team Singularity, then won the league in Spring 2024 with Lionscreed as the assistant coach to Simon “Baguette” Cordonnier. He later worked in LVP Division 2, the Czech league, and more recently with Belgian side ZennIT, with whom he competed in the EMEA Masters Last Chance Qualifier.
The first signing for the roster is already known: Swiss toplaner Enzo "SwiT" Castillo. SwiT began his career in the Nexus Tour in 2024, later playing in the Coupe de France for Klanik Esports before joining Austrian Force Willhaben in the Prime League for the Summer Split 2025. He is currently Challenger with 1,271 LP and has played over 1,150 games.
Galions, for their part, went through an ascending first year in the LFL. Born from the collaboration between league mainstay Team GO and streamer Maxime “Sixen” Tchoroukian, the team immediately fielded a competitive roster matching their ambitions.
They finished fourth at Flash In in Winter, then placed fifth in Spring, after which the organization changed its AD Carry and head coach. The arrival of Franciszek “HARPOON” Gryszkiewicz and Nikola “xani” Zrinjski shifted the momentum, as the team reached the Summer Split final. The addition of an academy team for 2026 might help cement strong results in the long term.
