Fun K3y and Kaiser will be the new botlane's team
Berlin International Gaming is expected to undergo a complete roster overhaul for the 2026 season. Following the arrival of Steven "Reeker" Chen in the midlane, as previously reported by Sheep Esports, the team’s botlane is also set to change. AD Carry Johannes "Fun K3y" Werner and support Norman "Kaiser" Kaiser will form BIG’s new duo lane, sources tell Sheep Esports on Monday. During the offseason, Kaiser was also considered by Eintracht Spandau in the Prime League and Disguised in the LCS.
They will replace Louis "Bean" Schmitz and Dino "LIMIT" Tot, with whom BIG notably won both the Winter and Summer Splits of the Prime League. Fun K3y is a familiar presence in Germany’s first division, while Kaiser returns to the league after last competing in it in 2019.
A new botlane to dominate the ERL?
As expected, BIG’s botlane will change during this offseason. Last month, the team’s support LIMIT announced his retirement at the end of the season with the German organization. A replacement was therefore required, and that role will be filled by Kaiser. The German support has just completed his first full ERL season since 2019, finishing as a finalist in both the Superliga and the EMEA Masters with Los Heretics. His team was, incidentally, the one that eliminated BIG in the EMEA Masters Round of 16.
To fill the AD Carry position, Bean will be succeeded by a player deeply familiar with the Prime League, where he has spent most of his career. Last year, Fun K3y competed with ROSSMANN Centaurs and, despite a difficult start to the season, the team ultimately qualified for the EMEA Masters Summer. Fun K3y and his squad even reached the quarterfinals, where they were eliminated by none other than Los Heretics and Kaiser.
The duo will now form BIG’s new botlane and will aim to maintain the dominance the organization established in the Prime League this season. In addition to these changes, further adjustments may take place in the toplane and jungle, as former jungler Dimitar "Lebron" Kostadinov has announced his retirement.
BIG's reported roster for 2026:
- Toplaner: Joel "Irrelevant" Miro Scharoll
- Jungler: Seyit "Habubu" Cüce
- Midlaner: Steven "Reeker" Chen
- AD Carry: Johannes "Fun K3y" Werner
- Support: Norman "Kaiser" Kaiser
