After four seasons with the team, Razork's journey with Fnatic could come to an end
Fnatic's jungler Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz position in the team is uncertain, sources tell Sheep Esports on Wednesday. Although he is still under contract until 2026, Fnatic has attempted to send Razork to other LEC teams listed in this report.
After a complicated year from both a collective and individual standpoint, Razork might well see his adventure with the Black and Orange come to an end. Following a disappointing Worlds performance, Fnatic is looking to rebuild its team, and jungle is one of the targeted positions.
A few LEC teams are interested in Razork
Razork is going to be a big topic this offseason as he's on the radar of multiple teams. With Fnatic open to change jungler, two teams in particular have shown interest in Razork on the market.
Razork’s potential departure could free up a significant portion of Fnatic’s budget. Between a possible buyout and his status as one of the highest-paid players in the LEC, his exit would offer the team valuable financial flexibility. However, if Razork remains under contract — even on a bench rate — bringing in a new jungler could prove challenging. As a result, Fnatic have been proactive this offseason, exploring as many opportunities as possible for Razork. While some teams have shown strong interest, others, such as Natus Vincere, have declined.
The two most interested parties are Team Heretics and GIANTX, but negotiating for Razork has been challenging due to Fnatic's standard approach. The British club is being very meticulous about Razork's possible departure, asking each club that approaches them to inquire about the player for a buyout or a suitable trade option from any team wishing to pursue the player.
With Team Heretics, Fnatic doesn’t appear interested in any of their current players; however, Team Heretics sent an initial buyout offer, which made Fnatic agree to let them discuss with their jungler. Razork's buyout, if formalised, is expected to be close to six figures. So far, Team Heretics is the only organization to make a direct offer to Razork, having secured the green light from Fnatic.
GIANTX is the other main contender in the race, and they do have a player that Fnatic is really interested in, Support Yoon "Jun" Se-jun. While Fnatic has been discussing a possible trade with them, GIANTX, on the other hand, is not keen on giving away its support. Negotiations will need to continue, but GIANTX is very interested in acquiring Razork.
Some declined possibilities
While exploring possible options for Razork next year, Fnatic also reached out to Team BDS. Indeed, the team was interested in Toplaner Shin "Rooster" Yun-hwan. However, the Swiss organization declined any chance of trade or buyout as they want to keep him for 2026.
Another team, Fnatic, asked for a possible trade to is Natus Vincere. While asked for their jungler Enes "Rhilech" Uçan, NAVI declined any trade possibility for Razork. The team had already signed Rhilech long before the offseason to start him in 2026.
Four years with a taste of incompleteness
Arriving at the organization in 2022, Razork was meant to embody the new face of Fnatic that would allow the team to climb back to the top of the LEC rankings. Former best rookie of the 2020 Spring Split with Misfits Gaming, Razork arrives with the ambition to win titles for the British team. Four years later, however, that goal has not been achieved. Although he reached four finals with Fnatic during these years, the team was beaten by G2 Esports each time, and Fnatic's record remains blank since Summer 2019.
During these four seasons, Razork and Fnatic never missed the Worlds... without ever making it out of the group stage or the Swiss stage. The team also participated in the MSI 2024, making it through the play-ins but being quickly eliminated in the main stage. In total, Razork will have had twelve different teammates. His partnership with midlaner Marek "Humanoid" Brázda lasted three years and, despite them, embodies Fnatic's struggles to succeed where people expected them the most.
Toward a real change of identity
While Razork has embodied the face of Fnatic in recent years, his departure could be a real event for the organization. The Spanish jungler has established himself as the franchise player of the team, but this new disappointment could well mark the end of an era for the player and the team. Before the start of the summer split, the Razork-Humanoid duo was broken up after a real need to change things on Fnatic's side. The Black and Orange will qualify for the Worlds, but will have their worst performance in the competition by not winning a BO.
Barely the competition over, the team is thus beginning its reconstruction by offering Fabian "GrabbZ" Lohmann the opportunity to take care of the new project, as previously reported by Sheep Esports. The team has already announced that they have parted ways with Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle, and Razork could very well be the second player to leave the team.
