Joblife lock first two players for their 2026 roster
Joblife has secured its first two players of this offseason. AD Carry Markos "Comp" Stamkopoulos and support Nikos "HungryPanda" Nikolaidis are expected to form the team's new botlane in 2026, sources tell Sheep Esports on Thursday.
The two Greek players will succeed Matthew "Deadly" Smith and Elton "Twiizt" Spetsig, both of whom are at the end of their contracts and will not be retained by Joblife after this season. They will try to take Joblife to the next level, who experienced some difficulties on the sporting front in their first season in the LFL.
Comp joins after holding discussions with LEC teams SK Gaming and Team Heretics, though neither move was ever very likely. His agreement does include an LEC clause allowing him to continue those talks if needed, but such a scenario remains unlikely. While he’s expected to play for Joblife next year, his contract will make it easy for him to move up to the LEC should an opportunity arise.
A more competitive project?
For their first year in the French first division, Joblife experienced both good and bad times. With a roster that mixed experience and potential, Joblife was not seen as a favorite but still had an interesting lineup. At several points during the year, they showed that they were not to be underestimated, notably with a strong start in the Group Stage of the spring split. However, it was not enough to compete with the league's top teams, and JL could only manage an eighth-place finish in the summer. But for this second year, the team of streamer Toma "JL Tomy" Abdellaoui is starting its transfer window with two experienced players.
A botlane with a Greek accent
The first, with the most attractive fame, will experience his third LFL club after GentleMates and LDLC. Comp joins Joblife after GentleMates withdrew from the League of Legends competitive scene. Former LEC champion with Rogue in 2022, Comp was already among the best AD Carries in the league last year. He will return to strengthen Joblife alongside his compatriot support, HungryPanda. As a veteran of ERL, he recently made a name for himself with Team Phantasma by winning both splits of the Greek Legends League in 2024. He was also part of the Serbian team Partizan Sangal, who almost caused a sensation during the EMEA Masters Summer by starting 3-0 before collapsing in the final stretch.
The two players are therefore joining Joblife to inaugurate the team's new roster. Joblife will play its second season in the LFL in 2026 to do better than this season.
