According to sources close to
Sheep Esports, ApparentlyJack headlines a shortlist of players in contention to complete the Dignitas roster ahead of the North American Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) for a chance to make the
Rocket League World Championship. The long-time
RLCS organization are in need of a player following the departure of Jordan
"Evoh" Manley,
who is expected to join Gen.G Mobil1 Racing for the NA LCQ. The remaining Dignitas players, Logan
"Fiv3Up" Seaman and Bora
"bora" Sari, have been able to look at a number of targets this past month. ApparentlyJack, who has
reportedly lost his spot on the Geekay Esports roster, recently trialed with the team and is currently exploring his own options in both Europe and abroad. The LAN veteran joins a shortlist that contains domestic favorite Gwil
"Creamz" Muir, who has recently pulled ahead of other tryouts that included Lucas
"RelatingWave" Rose, Christopher
"Aqua" Campbell, Nolan
"dvo" Tighe, and Liam
"yujin" Daillac.
Underperforming in North America
The NA LCQ gives Dignitas its final chance to appear in a second successive World Championship. Despite its longevity in the esport, the last time the organization featured at two World Championships in a row was during RLCS Season 5-6, with the old legendary core of Pierre "Turbopolsa" Silfver, Jos "ViolentPanda" van Meurs, and Alexandre "Kaydop" Courant. Part of the trouble has been the organization’s strategy to pivot from Europe to North America on two occasions during the open era.
The first and last time Dignitas made an RLCS LAN from North America was the 2022-23 Winter Major, where they went 0-3 with debutants who have not featured since. In comparison, the organization made all three RLCS LANs from Europe last season, including a second-place finish at the Raleigh Major with ApparentlyJack at the helm. This season, with its second pivot to North America, Dignitas has struggled to compete with the best teams in the region. Its highest finish in a Regional Open was 5th-6th place with the team ending the season ranked seventh in North America.
Building a shortlist
With the departure of mainstay Evoh, who enjoyed two stints with Dignitas over three years, the organization needs to sign one player to link up with bora and Fiv3Up for the remaining events of 2026. On paper, its seventh-place ranking in North America makes Dignitas one of the three top teams expected to play in the NA LCQ, joining Gen.G and FUT Esports as the favourites to take the single LAN spot at the World Championship. As the final slot on one of these rosters, this makes Dignitas a lucrative opportunity for players who missed out on qualifying this season.
Dignitas have given tryouts to both domestic and international options, building a strong shortlist in recent weeks. ApparentlyJack, who previously competed with Dignitas at two separate World Championships in 2022 and 2025, headlines the list. The Englishman looks to be surplus to requirements at Geekay Esports and could end the season as a content creator for the organization if he doesn’t find a team. The 22-year-old has looked at alternatives in Europe, practicing with William "motion" O'Connor, Shaun "Crispy" Tafara Murindagomo, and young gun Matheo "osaft" Hapke in recent scrim sessions.
Another international option, yujin, received trials for Dignitas as well as Gen.G in recent weeks but ultimately missed out,
linking up with Finlay
"rise." Ferguson and Ben
"Toxiic" Salmon for the EU LCQ instead.
Five-time RLCS LAN attendee RelatingWave, who has become a collegiate star in North America, was an early contender for the role domestically. However, sources suggest that the Welsh-born Creamz, a collegiate rival for RelatingWave, became the favourite for the spot before ApparentlyJack entered the picture. Dignitas also assessed the possible return of Aqua, who competed with Fiv3Up on a previous stint with the organization.
While Dignitas will primarily focus on the NA LCQ starting in July, the organization has already signed up for the
Esports World Cup LCQ in August, committing to attending the LAN in Paris. The team will face fierce international competition for a spot at the EWC, with Man City Esports, Virtus.pro, and BS+ Competition all set to feature in the qualifier.
