According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Álvaro "Alvaro" Fernández del Amo has reached an agreement with MAD Lions and will be the support of the Madrid-based team in the LoL EMEA Championship (LEC) for 2024.

The Spanish support has had offers and interest from 5 LEC clubs but has opted tonight for MAD Lions.

The current EMEA Masters finalist and two-time Superliga champion will make the leap to the top European competition at only 20 years old after a dream year in Movistar Riders.

Álvaro made his name on the scene known with his LVP debut in G2 Arctic along with ADC David "Supa" Martínez García led by Head Coach Tomás "Melzhet" Campelos Fernández. This year in Movistar Riders, the Spanish support has established himself as one of the top talents both nationally and overall in the ERLs attracting the eyes of most of the teams in the LEC.

MAD Lions is assured to have one of the biggest generational replacements in the support position as well as continuing with a brand new project for next season led by Melzhet.
