Exofeng won the Superliga Final Four and was named MVP of both the semifinals and the finals
Kaufland Hangry Knights are kicking off their offseason with a major move on the transfer market. According to Sheep Esports sources, the German organization has found an agreement with Felix "Abbedagge" Braun, a seasoned veteran of the European and North American Tier 1 scenes. He will not be joining alone, as the team also welcomes a player of an opposite profile: Mario "Exofeng" Strugov, one of the brightest up-and-coming AD Carries in Europe. It's also worth noting that Abbedagge's deal is still under verbal agreement.
In the midlane, Kaufland also considered Midlaners Oliver "Dajor" Ryppa and Jan "SAJATOR" Zítek. However, in the AD Carry position, the German organization was instantly convinced by Exofeng during the tryouts and signed him without considering any other option. Exofeng was also considered by teams in other ERLs, including various academies of LEC teams.
A consistent midlaner
By joining KHK, Abbedagge continues his back-and-forth between Tier 1 and Tier 2. After five seasons across the LEC and LCS from 2019 to 2023, the midlaner took a break at the start of 2024 before returning to the secondary circuit, competing in the French LFL with Karmine Corp Blue. His convincing performances there earned him a way back to the LCS, where he played for Disguised during the first two splits of the 2025 season.
That stint lacked notable highlights, leading him back to Europe, where he most recently played for SK Gaming during the summer — again without remarkable results. Despite the absence of major achievements this year, "Abbe" remains a dependable figure in the regional scene and arguably one of the most consistent midlaners outside the LEC. He now returns to his national league, which he last competed in back in 2017, when the German championship had yet to be renamed the Prime League. A trend followed by many German players this offseason.
He will now be tasked with mentoring a much younger talent. Exofeng made his competitive debut in September 2024 with Maverix during the Hitpoint Winter 2024 Main Event, meaning his professional experience remains limited. Nevertheless, the Bulgarian player has already made a strong impression. After joining Bulldog Esports in the NLC last January, he helped the team secure a third-place finish in the Winter Split.

Most notably, Exofeng drew attention late in the season when he had to step in for Berat "Aetinoth" Tıknazoğlu — who faced visa issues — to compete on LAN with GIANTX Pride in the Superliga Final Four. Joining a well-oiled roster that had dropped only two games on their way to the Summer Split title, Exofeng delivered on expectations. The 18-year-old not only helped GXP claim the competition but was also named MVP of both the semifinals and the finals. GXP consequently secured Spain’s first seed for the Summer EMEA Masters — contested by Aetinoth upon his return to the lineup.
A Polished Draven Specialist
Just days later, the young marksman reached his peak solo queue ranking with 1,348 LPs, according to lolpros. Following in the footsteps of Europe’s premier AD Carries such as Steven “Hans sama” Liv, Caliste “Caliste” Henry-Hennebert or Thomas "3XA" Foucou, Exofeng has become particularly renowned for his mastery of Draven. This season, he has played over 250 solo queue games on the champion from his main account, compared to 80 on his second-most played pick, Kai’Sa — and maintains a 100% competitive win rate on Draven, albeit from only three matches.
He even published a reference guide on Mobafire to help players learn the intricacies of the champion. The arrivals of Abbedagge and Exofeng suggest that KHK may be aiming to assemble a highly competitive roster for the upcoming Prime League season. In their debut year in the national top division, the organization secured an impressive third place in the Spring Split and qualified for the EMEA Masters for the first time in its history.
