13 completed his first year in professional this season
AD Carry Zayan "13" Taeau will continue with Movistar KOI Fénix next year, sources tell Sheep Esports. In his first professional season, the French player joined the Spanish organization’s academy roster ahead of Superliga Summer Split and delivered solid performances, although the team ultimately failed to qualify for the EMEA Masters.
The KOI Fénix lineup is expected to undergo very few changes compared to the roster that competed in the Summer Split and the recent Iberian Cup. As previously reported by Sheep Esports, toplaner Ivan "NightSlayer" Bilous is set to remain with the team, as are jungler Tiago "Time" Almeida and midlaner Bartłomiej "Fresskowy" Przewoźnik. Only the support position is likely to change.
13 reasons rewarded
After a successful first split in the Superliga, 13 sees his efforts rewarded with another opportunity to showcase his talent in the Spanish league. Prior to his arrival, KOI Fénix had struggled to achieve consistent results throughout the season. During the Winter and Spring Splits, the team failed to advance beyond the Swiss Stage. Ahead of the Summer Split, the organization made changes and parted ways with William "UNF0RGIVEN" Nieminen to bring in 13.
The 19 years old AD Carry, for his part, completed his first competitive year on a strong upward trajectory. He began the season in the LFL Division 2 with Lille Esport. Although he did not reach the playoffs, he still caught the attention of KOI Fénix, who offered him a spot on their roster. With adjustments to the lineup, the team reached the playoffs but once again fell short of qualifying for the EMEA Masters.
He also competed in the Iberian Cup, winning a match before KOI Fénix was eliminated by UCAM Esports Club. Individually, 13 participated in the French SoloQ Challenge and finished Grandmaster with 760 LP. He will now aim to confirm last year’s progress, help the team achieve stronger results, and adapt to playing alongside a new support.
