Riot Games announced on Monday the individual awards and trophies that will be presented to
LEC players over the course of the season, introducing several additions compared to last year. In total,
six individual distinctions will be awarded this season, and
two All-Pro Teams will be voted for during the Spring and Summer Splits.
For those already looking to crown an MVP for the LEC Versus stage, only a Finals MVP will be awarded, as was the case last year. In 2025, the honor went to Vladimiros âVladiâ Kourtidis following his title win with Karmine Corp.
Two MVPs for two Splits
Last spring, only one regular-season MVP was named, with Elias âUpsetâ Lipp receiving the award in the Split. This season, however, there will be two regular-season MVPsâone for Spring and one for Summer. Voting will take place prior to the start of the playoffs, and eligible candidates must have participated in at least six regular-season matches. The voting panel will consist of LEC players and coaching staff, journalists, broadcast partners, and broadcast talents.
The second addition is the introduction of a second All-Pro Team, determined under the same eligibility criteria. As with the MVP award, only one All-Pro Team was selected last Spring; this year, a second team will also be named in Summer. Riot Games justified the absence of these two distinctions during LEC Versus by noting that the âcondensed regular season provides fewer opportunities for players to showcase their performances.â
As in 2025, three Finals MVP awards will also be presented. In addition to Vladi, Javier âElyoyaâ Prades claimed the honor in Spring, while Rudy âSkewMondâ Semaan received it in Summer. The voting panel for the Finals MVP is more limited, comprising journalists, casters, broadcast talent, analysts, and co-streamers.
A Single Rookie of the Year
As last year, a single Rookie of the Year award will be granted across the entire season, albeit under more clearly defined criteria. The successor to Caliste âCalisteâ Henry-Hennebert must have competed in at least two of the three splits this year and still be active in the league at the time of voting. In addition, the player must have participated in at least 50% of each splitâs scheduled games. Finally, candidates must not have previously been eligible for a Rookie of the Year vote in another region.
