Unveiled on December 10 alongside the Chinese release of
Spiritforged, Set 2 of
Riftbound, the French version of Riot Gamesā card game will officially launch on May 29, 2026, in just under two months. The TCG set in the
League of Legends universe has been available in Chinese since August 2025 and in English since late October, making French the third official language of
Riftbound.
In the announcement shared with
Sheep Esports by the North American publisher, it is stated that the
Origins set will release on May 29, along with its associated packs and boosters, before being followed as early as July 31 by the
Spiritforged and
Unleashed sets.
This marks an accelerated rollout in French, with a clear intent to quickly catch up with the English and Chinese versions, ultimately enabling a simultaneous release of Radiance, the fifth set of Riftbound, on October 23, 2026. While Vendetta is scheduled for July 31, the fourth set of the TCG is expected to launch in French on October 23, at the same time as the following set.
In addition to this information, the press release provided by Riot Games also notes that Radiance should begin to be revealed around October 16, marking the first coordinated rollout across the three official languages. For now, no additional languages have been announced or teased.
To conclude, Riot reiterates that competitive play on Riftbound is still ongoing, with the first World Championship planned for 2027 as a key milestone. In this context, and while the rules allow players to use cards in any language, the Regional Qualifiers will take place in mid-April, from April 17 to 19, in Lille, northern France.
