Qualified teams for League of Legends at Esport World Cup 2026

The Esports World Cup will return this year for a new edition featuring an expanded field of participants. Twelve teams competed in the tournament in 2025, but this year the number has increased to sixteen, all of whom will gather in Paris rather than Riyadh, the host city of previous editions, for what is already shaping up to be a highly anticipated event. The competition will start on July 15 with a cash prize of around $600,000 for the winner.

As defending champions, will return to defend their title against fifteen challengers hoping to become only the third organization to win the competition. This year, the champions of each major league (LEC, LCS, LCK, LPL, LCP, and CBLOL) will qualify directly for the event, while the remaining spots will be determined through regional qualifiers.

In certain regions, such as EMEA, the qualifier has already concluded and notably featured several tier-two teams, including Solary and Galions, who managed to compete on relatively equal footing with LEC organizations, even if they ultimately fell short of upsetting the tournament favorites.
