Blue won't be ZYB's support next year
After the "veteran rule" problem faced by French Flair last week, influencer teams preparing for the LFL Invitational continue to meet difficulties finalizing their rosters. Just a few days after Yasin "Nisqy" Dinçer announced his full lineup, the team is already undergoing its first change, as Ersin "Blue" Gören will no longer be able to compete.
The former Belgian midlaner, who was expected to transition into the support role for the event, will ultimately not be part of the roster. On his Twitch stream, Nisqy explained that the player simply would not have enough time to commit to the team. “He has things to handle IRL. He thought he would have the time, but in the end he doesn’t, so we’ll have to find another support.”
Who to replace?
Although Blue was not a support player by trade—and early practice games had already raised doubts about his ability to adapt to the position—the team is now compelled to search for a replacement. Nisqy mentioned the possibility of holding tryouts to identify a new support. Given the unique personalities that make up the roster, they will need to find someone capable of fitting into the group and its particular dynamic.
Another option surfaced yesterday on stream. As the team regularly plays inhouses with other professional players to practice, they were joined by a new face in Blue’s place. Former AD Carry Jean "Jezu" Massol—who announced his retirement earlier this year—briefly returned to action with the team. By taking over the AD carry role, he shifted Riip to support, forming a botlane at least as unconventional as the previous one. However, no confirmation has yet been given regarding his participation.
The rest of the roster, composed of Alexandre "Hiro" El Hodebey, Eric "Sleyer" Xie, and Stéphane "Manaty" Dimier, has so far played only inhouses. Their goal is to compete in the LFL Invitational while remaining competitive, all while offering content and entertainment to viewers through their humor and distinctive playstyle.
