Summoner’s Cup redesigned, Worlds anthem by G.E.M. releasing October 10, plus new Worlds skins chromas for IG and SSG
Riot Games is marking the 15th anniversary of League of Legends Esports at Worlds 2025 with a new Summoner’s Cup, a star-studded opening ceremony in Chengdu, and unique commemorative releases for fans and teams. Riot Games will release its Worlds anthem on October 10, performed by G.E.M., a Chinese superstar often described as the "Chinese Taylor Swift".
The Worlds 2025 opening ceremony will feature several other artists, as is tradition at Riot Games events, including Anyma, Chrissy Costanza and more. In addition, Riot Games has given the Summoner’s Cup a fresh look: already modernized in 2022, the trophy now returns to a classic silhouette with a modern finish—sure to please longtime fans.
An anthem tailor-made for China
This year’s Worlds anthem features Chinese music superstar G.E.M.. The anthem, set to premiere on October 10 alongside its official music video, is described as a way to "embody the fighting spirit, teamwork, and perseverance that has defined competitive League of Legends for 15 years."
G.E.M. herself has shared her heartfelt connection to the scene: "I am truly honored to collaborate with Riot Games ... The courage to sacrifice for the team and the strength to hold onto one’s belief resonate with me not only as an artist, but also as someone who has risen against the odds and poured everything into pursuing a dream. I hope to capture that spirit through music and share it with fans all around the world."

Leading the Worlds Final Opening Ceremony in Chengdu, G.E.M. will share the stage with Italian electronic music artist Anyma. The lineup also includes Chrissy Costanza, the amazing voice behind "Legends Never Die," lead vocalist for Against The Current, and a sought-after artist whose talents have featured on major gaming titles such as Final Fantasy XVI, Genshin Impact, and Marvel Rivals.
The lineup is rounded out by TEYA, an emerging pop force who rose to international prominence at Eurovision 2023 with her viral hit "Who the Hell is Edgar?" performed alongside duo partner SALENA. They will all perform on Finals Day, which will culminate in the opening show at Chengdu’s Dong’an Lake Sports Park Indoor Gymnasium.
The Summoner’s Cup Redesigned
Worlds 2025 introduces a modernized Summoner’s Cup, reimagined for both legacy and practicality. Riot Games has refreshed the trophy’s signature silhouette, giving it a look that recalls past editions. Already updated in 2022 in collaboration with Tiffany & Co., Riot has combined the best of both worlds to restore a more iconic style to the cup while making it easier to lift and preventing incidents like what happened to Choi "Zeus" Woo-je in 2024, who injured his head in the euphoria of victory.

The seven-inch base is engraved with the names of all 14 previous Worlds winners, continuing the traditions established by the earlier Tiffany & Co. edition. Mercedes-Benz, the event’s official automotive partner, will deliver the new Summoner’s Cup to the Finals stage in Chengdu, underlining its status as the ultimate symbol of competitive success in League.
Championship chromas celebrate legendary teams
Patch 25.20 introduces several new chromas for previous Worlds champion skins, specifically honoring legendary teams Invictus Gaming (2018) and Samsung Galaxy (2017). This update represents the first time Riot Games has extended the Worlds winner chroma tradition to earlier championship lineups, with more updates planned for future events.
The Invictus Gaming chromas celebrate their historic achievement as the first LPL team to claim the Summoner’s Cup, a timely tribute as the organization recently reunited with several former members of that championship roster. Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy’s legacy is spotlighted as their successor team, Gen.G, arrives at Worlds 2025 fresh off consecutive MSI titles, reinforcing the enduring impact of the 2017 champions.
