Dates and venues revealed
Riot Games has just revealed, this Friday, July 24, the dates for the 2025 League of Legends Worlds Championship, as well as the stadiums that will host the global competition. As previously announced by the North American publisher last October, China will be hosting the competition for the third time in its history, following Beijing in 2017 and Shanghai in 2020. For the 2025 edition, the tournament will take place over four weeks, from October 14 to November 9, across three different stadiums throughout the country.
The Worlds 2025 will kick off in Beijing, at the Beijing Smart Esports Center, an arena entirely dedicated to esports events. This venue will host the Play-Ins on October 14: a best-of-five match between the fourth seeds of the LCK and LPL—the two top-performing regions from MSI — for a spot in the next stage. This introductory series will be followed by the Swiss Stage, running from October 15 to 25.
The Grand Final in Chengdu
The Knockout stage, running from October 28 to November 2, will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, which also hosted the VALORANT Masters Shanghai in 2024. This stadium will host both the quarterfinals and semifinals back-to-back, with no rest day in between—a first in Worlds' history.

For the Grand Final, Chengdu will host the championship match at the Dong'an Lake Sports Park Multifunctional Gymnasium, on November 9, for 18,000 spectators. Whether for this final stage or the two preceding ones, tickets are not yet on sale, and further information is expected to be announced in the coming weeks, according to the statement released by Riot Games.
