Four LCK teams, two from the LPL, one from the LEC, and one from the LCP remain
The final draw for Worlds 2025 has taken place. We now know the full knockout bracket of the tournament, and with FlyQuest, Vivo Keyd Stars, and 100 Thieves all being eliminated over the past two days, the LTA is now the only region without a remaining representative. The eight remaining teams have been placed in the bracket.
Four teams from the LCK, two from the LPL, one from the LEC, and one from the LCP remain. South Korea is the only region that managed to keep all its teams in the tournament. All matches are now BO5. Quarterfinals will be played between Tuesday, October 28, and Friday, October 31, at 8 a.m. CEST.
T1 versus the AL, Gen.G versus HLE
With half the teams now eliminated, certain power dynamics are already taking shape. Gen.G have reaffirmed their status as favorites, with Anyone’s Legend looking like the strongest Chinese team in the tournament. These two teams are on opposite sides of the bracket, but both will have to overcome a challenging path to reach their dream of playing in the grand final.
All matchups:
Hanwha Life Esports vs Gen.G
KT Rolster vs CTBC Flying Oyster
G2 Esports vs Top Esports
Anyone's Legend vs T1
Maximum stakes ahead
Once again, T1 seems to be standing face to face with their destiny. Placed on the side of the bracket where they must face either the LPL or G2, their storylines are numerous. And while their current form isn’t the most reassuring since the start of the competition, they remain one of the few teams capable of transforming once the real matches begin. This time, however, they’ll have to take on the only LPL team that looks truly dominant right now: Anyone’s Legend.
On the other side of the bracket, the two best LCK teams of the year meet right from the quarterfinals. Tough luck for HLE, who, for the second year in a row, find themselves facing a juggernaut — this time, Gen.G. Throughout the season, HLE only managed to defeat Gen.G once, in the LCK Cup final that ended 3–2.
The other quarterfinal in this half features KT Rolster facing CFO. It’s expected to be a tighter match, as KT Rolster’s form has been inconsistent, which could open the door for CFO — one of the main underdogs of the event — to secure the first semifinal appearance in the history of the brand-new LCP.
