The emotes cost 350 RP each, with a portion of the revenue going to the teams
Several leagues and teams have announced the release of their new in-game emotes, available for fans to purchase starting October 8, at a price of 350 RP each, with a portion of the revenue going to the teams. This initiative by Riot Games aims to help boost teams’ finances while also diversifying their revenue streams. The 60 Tier 1 teams across the LCP, LCK, LPL, LEC, and both LTA North and South will each have their own emotes, just like last year in the major leagues.
In an article published by Sheep Esports last December, the emote sales rankings by team were revealed, and unsurprisingly, Karmine Corp came out far ahead with their "Jinx FF" emote. This year, the French club is continuing in the same vein with a new emote, "Loser Queue." T1 has a penguin, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok’s favorite animal, striking his iconic pose. Several emotes reference well-known memes, such as Team Secret Whales’ "Absolute Cinema" and SK Gaming’s penguin doing the "Chill Guy" pose.
