Just like the LCK, the LCP awards only one championship title per year
The LCP announced on its Twitter account that the final weekend of the Season Finals will take place in Da Nang, Vietnam, in September 2025. This final phase will crown the LCP champion for the entire year, as no title is awarded at the end of each split — those only serve to qualify Pacific teams for international competitions.
Currently, the LCP is played at the LCP Arena in Taipei, Taiwan, which seats just over a hundred people. The Pacific league has clearly seen a resurgence in interest since the regional merger. While national leagues have taken a hit, the LCP consistently surpasses 100k viewers — unlike LTA North, for example, which has yet to break that symbolic threshold. The LCP even peaked at over 150k during the GAM Esports vs. Team Secret Whales matchup.
A league with competition
Right now in the LCP, the team that’s clearly dominating is CTBC Flying Oyster. After winning the Winter Split and making a strong impression at the First Stand, CFO have continued their dominance in Split 2, finishing first in the Mid-Season Standing with seven BO3 wins and zero losses. For MSI 2025, two LCP teams will qualify — one directly into the Main Stage, while the second will have to go through the Play-In Stage.
Several teams and figures from the scene reacted to the news, celebrating an event that will allow the Vietnamese community — and the wider region — to come together to witness the most decisive matches of the year. Currently, there are three Vietnamese teams in the league — GAM, Team Secret Whales, and MGN Vikings Esports — who could get the chance to play in front of a home crowd. Anthony "TK Nguyen" Nguyễn, CEO of GAM, also welcomed the announcement with enthusiasm.
