T1 accumulated 196 million hours watched, 65% more than the second-place team
Esports Charts has released its annual ranking of the most-watched esports teams in 2025, compiling total viewing hours across all major tournaments and platforms. Unsurprisingly, three titles dominate the top 10: League of Legends, Counter-Strike, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
T1 retains first place for the fourth year running with 196 million hours watched, a staggering 65% more than the second-place team. Despite a disappointing domestic season in the LCK (fourth place), the Korean squad once again shone on the international stage by winning their third consecutive World Championship, starting from the play-in stage and going all the way. The grand final against KT Rolster became the second most-watched esports event of all time, peaking at 6.7 million viewers across all platforms (excluding China).
Gen.G claims second position with 118 million hours watched. The team delivered an exceptional season by winning the LCK 2025 Season, MSI, and the Esports World Cup, but once again fell to T1 in the Worlds semifinals.
Korea Dominates, Indonesia Rises in MLBB
Four Korean League of Legends teams appear in the top 10. Hanwha Life Esports (sixth) started the year strong with victories at the LCK Cup and First Stand Tournament, while KT Rolster (seventh) surprised everyone by reaching the Worlds finals after eliminating Gen.G.
On the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang side, two Indonesian teams round out the podium. ONIC Esports takes third place after winning both MPL Indonesia seasons, dethroning RRQ Hoshi (fourth), who finished the year without a title despite their massive popularity.
Counter-Strike Makes a Strong Return
Team Vitality (fifth) posts the best performance by a Counter-Strike team since 2021, driven by a historic season featuring back-to-back Majors and nine tier-S trophies. This year also marks a revival for the CS scene, with Team Spirit (eighth), MOUZ (ninth), and Team Falcons (tenth) completing the rankings.
MOUZ enjoyed one of their best seasons thanks to Lotan "Spinx" Giladi's arrival in January, consistently reaching top-4 finishes in major tournaments. Team Falcons, with their superstar roster including Nikola "NiKo" Kovač and Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, showed steady progress despite the absence of major silverware.
