Doran has won four LCK titles
On Monday, T1 announced the contract extension of their toplaner Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon through 2026. At 25, his story with the team continues for at least another year, a move that was widely expected. Finding an upgrade at this position would have been difficult for the six-time World Champions, as Kim “Kiin” Gi-in is locked with Gen.G until 2026, and bringing back Choi “Zeus” Woo-je never seemed like a realistic option.
After seven years as a professional, with multiple LCK titles and several heartbreaks in Worlds quarterfinals and semifinals, Doran finally achieved the dream every League of Legends player chases: lifting the Summoner’s Cup.
He will even receive his own Worlds skin on Ambessa, as he revealed on stream. It was a tough year for him—a season marked by doubt and difficult stretches—but as so often happens last years, when the year reached its conclusion, it was T1 standing on top.
DOFPK?
Nothing is fully locked in yet for T1, but the roster will most likely take the following shape: Doran in the toplane, with Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun and Ryu "Keria" Min-seok both under contract until 2026, and Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok signed through 2026 as well.
On top of that, the biggest shock of this offseason is the departure of Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong. As previously reported by Sheep Esports, his replacement will be rising star Kim "Peyz" Su-hwan, who is returning from his stint in China with JD Gaming.

The DOFPK lineup would therefore be the new iteration of T1 for the 2026 season. Yet many questions remain: where will Gumayusi go next? Could T1 pull off the four-peat? And will Faker dedicate his seventh Worlds trophy to Peyz? A long list of uncertainties that only fuels the hype heading into the 2026 League of Legends season.
