T1 has joined forces with the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation (KOMSCO) to honor Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, widely regarded as the greatest League of Legends player of all time. This tribute takes the form of a unique collectible: a commemorative medal celebrating Faker's legendary career and lasting impact on the world of esports.
T1 has shared a behind-the-scenes look at the intricate process behind the creation of the medal, highlighting the craftsmanship and attention to detail involved in paying homage to one of esports’ most iconic figures. More than just a collector’s item, the medal stands as a physical tribute to Faker’s career and the countless unforgettable moments that have shaped modern competitive gaming.

The medal will be available for purchase starting May 7, 2025, exclusively through KOMSCO’s official website.
Two versions will be released:
- Gold Medal – 3,675,000 KRW (approx. €2,274.40/ $2 585.28)
- Silver Medal – 365,000 KRW (approx. €225.90/$256.77)

A week before the official announcement, Faker gave fans a sneak peek of the medal during a livestream. While the world’s greatest midlaner struggled to fully showcase its quality on camera, the piece is undeniably real and made of genuine gold. It also gives a sense of the medal’s size and confirms that it will be delivered in the box shown in the video.
This initiative is the latest in a series of honors for Faker, who continues to define the standard for greatness in esports. As a reminder, he was the first player inducted into the Hall of Legends in 2024.
