Liu "
Crisp" QingâSong has officially rejoined
Weibo Gaming for the 2025 Summer Split in LPL, while Fu "
Hang" Minghang moves in the opposite direction to
Top Esports. The two veteran supports switch places. Itâs a clear sign that both teams, once LPL giants, are in deep waters and scrambling to regain momentum.
Both teams represented the LPL at the last World Championship and are now going through a rough patch. Top Esports will be desperate not to miss out on a second consecutive Worlds appearance, while Weibo Gaming will want to avoid missing their third in a rowâtheir worst result at the tournament so far being a semifinal finish.
Hang had already been sidelined during the Spring Playoffs, replaced by Shi "Erha" XuâYe, and Top Esports has struggled since. Despite winning Split 1, they crashed out internationally at the First Stand and were defeated by Bilibili Gaming in Split 2 before finishing 5thâ6th
against Team WE. Weibo Gaming, on their side, is mirroring that downfall: after a turbulent Winter and a shaky Spring group stage, they were
knocked out 1â3 by Invictus Gaming in the lower bracket of playoffs. Both teams had represented the LPL at Worlds last year. Now, TES risks missing Worlds, while WBG would miss a third straight qualification â a fall from grace for the 2023 Worlds finalists.
This swap is also symbolic of the brutal reality of the LPL. Once praised for their resilience and firepower, neither TES nor WBG has adapted well to the relentless three-split calendar and a long playoffs format between the 16 teams. Bringing back Crisp, known for his leadership and synergy with Gao "Tian" Tian-Liang and Li "Xiaohu" Yuan-Hao, is WBGâs bet on stability. The support reached the 2023 World Championship final and the 2024 LPL Summer final with the organization. TES are gambling on Hangâs revival to reignite a team whose spark has dimmed since Winter's glory.
