Attila is considered to partner with Flakked in the botlane
GIANTX have announced the signing of Víctor "Flakked" Lirola Tortosa to their academy roster in the SuperLiga, GIANTX Pride. The Spanish AD Carry leaves the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) after two years with Team Heretics and returns to the Spanish league where he made his debut in 2019.
As previously reported, around mid-October, Team Heretics began exploring its options for the AD Carry position as Flakked's contract was nearing its end. A few weeks later, it became clear that the partnership between the Spanish organisation and Flakked was over. The team considered several candidates — Yoon "Ice" Sang-hoon, Thomas "3XA" Foucou and Park "Paduck" Seok-hyeon — and ultimately decided to move forward with Ice.
While the offseason is already well underway, if not over, for most Tier 1 and 2 clubs, a few teams are still finalizing moves, and GIANTX Pride is among them. Flakked is the first player to join the project. Additionally, sources tell Sheep Esports that Amadeu "Attila" Dias de Carvalho is being considered to partner with Flakked in the botlane.
To prove he’s still got what it takes
Flakked has been on the LEC with Heretics since the 2023 Summer Split. It was also during that split that Heretics secured their best result since joining the league, finishing fourth. Before TH, he spent a year with G2 Esports in 2022, winning the Spring Split and attending both international events.
It won’t be his first time competing in Spain. Flakked previously played for S2V Esports, MAD Lions Madrid, and Los Heretics at the start of 2023. Even back then, his demotion was seen as an anomaly, and he quickly made his way back to the LEC. This will be the clear objective for him once again, as he’s not expected to stay long in the ERLs.
GIANTX Pride enjoyed a fairly successful year. The AD Carry role was held for most of the season by Berat "Aetinoth" Tıknazoğlu, except for the Final Four, which was played by Mario "Exofeng" Emilov Strugov. They secured a fourth-place finish in Winter before truly launching their year in Spring with a finals appearance. The team peaked in Summer, winning both the Split and the Final Four. However, just like in Spring, they fell in the Round of 16 at the EMEA Masters.
