Isurus Estral has announced the signing of toplaner Park "
Summit" Woo-tae for the 2025
LTA South Split 2. He will replace Noh "
Burdol" Tae-yoon, who leaves after just one split in the Americas. Summit
had announced his retirement in November 2024 after winning the LLA with
Movistar R7 and competing at Worlds 2024 in Europe. There, he notably defeated
100 Thieves before falling to
GAM Esports and
PaiN Gaming. He now returns to action in the LTA South, joining the team that finished first in the previous split before being eliminated in the Cross-Conference quarterfinals by
Team Liquid â Isurus Estral.
At 26, Summit has built quite a rĂ©sumĂ©. The toplaner began his career with Afreeca Freecs, playing the 2017 KeSPA Cup alongside ROX Tigersâ legendary midlaner Lee "Kuro" Seo-haeng. He later joined SANDBOX Gaming, where he spent three years consistently finishing in the upper half of the LCK standings. While there, he also teamed up with another ROX legend, supporting Kang "GorillA" Beom-hyun.
In 2022, Summit made the move to North America with
Cloud9, where he had a strong regular season but faltered in the playoffs against Evil Geniuses. After just one split, he joined
FunPlus Phoenix for the LPL Summer Split, though that stint didnât go as planned. He returned to the LCS in 2023 with Team Liquid. Despite a rough Spring Split, the team bounced back in summer, finishing 3rd in the LCS Championshipâ enough to secure a spot at Worlds' main event. However, the tournament was a disappointment as they were eliminated in the Swiss Stage without winning a single game.
In 2024, Summit moved to the LLA to join Movistar R7, a chapter that went much better. The team finished second in the first split and went on to win the second split, qualifying for Worlds. They fell short in the Play-In Stage, but the run was a promising one for both Summit and R7 as he stood as the main carry of the team through it all.
