Drututt becomes the first player to unlock Silver Kayle since 2009

Popular Twitch streamer Maks “Drututt” Przychodzień just completed the ultimate LoL challenge, earning the ultimate reward in turn. After hitting the highest rank in the game, Challenger, on all five roles, Drututt then rotated through each role in a “true fill” climb, a sixth run to truly show his versatile skills. Completing this journey over months and months, Drututt played a massive total of 1836 games spread out over each role.

Of those, he spent 600 playing support alone, then another 51 games on the role while true fill-ing. After beating each role, Drututt stated that support was actually the most impactful role, and easiest to learn, while his pre-challenge main role, toplane, was the hardest.

Persistence rewarded

After completing the six-role challenge, Drututt, a noted Kayle player, began making his plea to Riot Games for Silver Kayle. One of the rarest skins in the entire game, Silver Kayle is a Kayle skin previously only obtainable by purchasing the 2009 Retail Collector’s Edition of League of Legends. In other words, a discontinued promotion for the game’s physical copy, no longer on sale, and sold over 15 years ago, was the only way to acquire this skin.

In his announcement post about the skin, Drututt asked Riot to gift him the skin, and after several days, logged in on stream, thrilled to find it marked as "owned" in his account. In a Reddit post about the skin, Drututt stated he was “super happy and grateful” to receive it, and LoL Lead Designer Riot August joked it was “time to buff Kayle?”
