The Swiss club Team BDS is changing its name to Shifters. Under this new banner, they will enter the LEC 2026 season with a refreshed roster aimed at finally breaking free from the eighth-place finishes that stuck with them during both splits of 2025.

Still led by head coach Yanis "Striker" Kella, the roster will continue to include Ilias "nuc" Bizriken, the midlane veteran who has been with the team since their LEC promotion in 2022, and Mehdi "Boukada" Lahlou, who joined last Summer Split after BDS paid a €200,000 buyout to SK Gaming.

Also remaining is Shin "Rooster" Yun-hwan, who arrived last Summer from the LCK Challengers. He was actually the first player confirmed to stay. Considered a key piece of the lineup despite the team’s struggles throughout 2025, Rooster couldn’t yet showcase his full potential, having only played twelve games in Europe last split. During the offseason, Fnatic showed interest, but Shifters declined all external offers, making it clear they had no intention to negotiate for their toplaner.

A new botlane

After being promoted from the LFL following BDS Academy’s exceptional 2024 season, support Polat "Parus" Furkan Çiçek was allowed to explore his options early in the offseason. With his contract expiring in November and the club unsatisfied with his performance, Shifters left the door open for a potential re-signing—but quickly turned elsewhere.

The organization moved toward Adrian "Trymbi" Trybus, coming off a year in LTA South with Vivo Keyd Stars, where he even played at Worlds. Trymbi also attracted interest from Natus Vincere, which ultimately signed Parus, while VKS attempted to retain Trymbi with a contract offer. Another option considered by Shifters was Raphaël "Targamas" Crabbé, who recently separated from Karmine Corp following their acquisition of Alan "Busio" Cwalina.

Perhaps the biggest surprise in the Swiss offseason came at the AD Carry position. After two consecutive seasons in the role, Yoon "Ice" Sang-hoon steps aside for another South Korean marksman — Park "Paduck" Seok-hyeon — joining from the LCK Challengers League, just like Rooster. This will be Paduck’s first starting experience in a Tier 1 league, though he did appear in a few LCK matches earlier this year with KT Rolster.
