The Pearl of the Pacific has found its new jungler. After dominating the LCP in 2025 and parting ways with several key members of its most historic roster, CTBC Flying Oyster welcomes Zhao "Shad0w" Zhi-Qiang from the LPL. CFO is undergoing a significant roster overhaul for 2026, following the departures of several key players including their support Ling "Kaiwing" Kai Wing, their toplaner Shen "Driver" Tsung-Hua and their mid-jungle duo Yu “JunJia” Chun-Chia and Tsai "HongQ" Ming-Hong, who are both heading to JD Gaming.

After leaving the LEC at the end of 2020 for the LPL, Shad0w is now moving from the LPL to the LCP for this offseason. At 24, he will play in the third major league of his career, taking over the starting jungler spot previously held by JunJia.

A new era begins

CFO’s formula is changing for 2026 after losing Kaiwing to Vivo Keyd Stars in CBLOL, Driver not being re-signed as well as their mid-jungle duo JunJia and HongQ. These departures mark the end of an era for CFO, who have dominated the LCP with three split victories in as many attempts and have been the only team worldwide to participate in all three international tournaments this year. At the start of the offseason, only Chiu "Doggo" Tzu-Chuan had a contract extending into 2026; all others became free agents, making it difficult to retain the previous six-man roster. However, the coaching staff remains stable with Wong "Chawy" Xing Lei re-signed as Head Coach, as well as Hsu "Rest" Shih-Chieh who has been re-signed the day before Shad0w's announcement.

Shad0w’s 2025 performance stands out: two convincing splits with FunPlus Phoenix, a high-profile transfer to BLG as their third jungler in three splits, and a reputation as a clutch, aggressive player with a champion pool led by Pantheon, Xin Zhao, and Vi. He ranked fourth in LPL junglers for average damage per minute in 2025 (493.8) and sixth for gold differential at 15 minutes (+7.1). With these credentials, Shad0w steps into big shoes, aiming to maintain CFO’s legacy of dominance.
