None of the seven games lasted more than 30 minutes
Ruddy Esports, formerly known as The Ruddy Sack, have officially been knocked out of the NLC Summer Split after losing seven games in a row without picking up a single win. Just a few months ago, the team had finished third in the Spring Split and came within one best-of-five of qualifying for the EMEA Masters. However, following yet another full roster rebuild between splits—as they had already done between Winter and Spring—this Summer campaign ended in a complete collapse.
The NLC Summer Split began with a seeding phase where the ten teams were split into two groups. Ruddy found themselves in a group with Rich Gang, NORD Esports, Venomcrest Esports, and KAOS e-sport. They lost all four of their best-of-ones, including their shortest game of the split—a 22:50 loss in the opener against NORD. Across those four matches, they managed just 60 kills total (averaging slightly over 8.5 per game), only eight towers, and six drakes.
A BO5 lasting just 1 hour and 18 minutes
In Playoffs, Ruddy Esports were placed directly into the Lower Bracket, where they faced DMG—who had previously lost to Rich Gang in the Upper Bracket. The best-of-five ended in just 1 hour and 18 minutes, with not a single game going over 30 minutes. Ruddy had completely overhauled their roster, even fielding their co-owner, Jake "DonJake" Morley, as their jungler. The rest of the lineup featured mostly unknown players to the ERL and NLC scenes. This shift followed the departures of head coach Jakob "YamatoCannon" Mebdi and former LCS pro player and content creator Christian "IWDominate" Rivera.
