Norra could be a midlaner champion
While Riot Games had already announced a few weeks ago that League of Legends: Wild Rift would have its very first exclusive champion in 2026, its identity has been revealed. After already dropping a few hints during its last announcement, the game's official X account revealed on Sunday that Norra would be the game's next champion.
Norra is a character who has already appeared in the lore of League of Legends as well as in other games like Teamfight Tactics or Legends of Runeterra, where she was also the first exclusive champion. Although we don't yet know the champion's abilities, Riot Games had hinted that they would "hang around the midlane."
A famous character from the lore
This is a major first for Wild Rift. For the first time, the mobile version of League of Legends will have a champion exclusive to its game. This champion is a character known to fans of the game for some time, with some even calling for her arrival on the rift for some time. Norra is a yordle with a rabbit-like appearance from Bandle City, dressed in a long robe, wearing a hat, and glasses.
But the most well-known detail of her lore is that she is known to be the mistress of Yuumi and Book, on which the cat travels. In the lore, the two characters are searching for their owner who is traveling across Runeterra. Through the character's dialogue in the video posted by Wild Rift, it seems she also knows Lulu and Pix. She travels the world thru portals like many Yordles in Bandle.
Even tho the Wild Rift account posted a video of the character in the Summoner's Rift, the character's abilities have not yet been revealed. The character is expected to arrive in the game sometime in 2026. Even tho Norra will be the first champion to be released exclusively on Wild Rift, it is not yet known if she will be playable on League of Legends later.
