Only Russia, the Middle East, South Asia, and Oceania are left
German content creator Frederik "NoWay" Hinteregger just hit Challenger on the Chinese server, marking a unique esports achievement. With this latest feat, the midlaner has now reached Challenger in an astounding eleven different regions: China, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Latin America, North America, Turkey, Europe Nordic East, Latin America South, Brazil, and Europe West.
The player aims to reach Challenger rank in every region around the world before stepping back from try-harding the game and focus solely on streaming. According to his dedicated website showcasing all of NoWay’s solo queue achievements, only Russia, the Middle East, South Asia, and Oceania remain unchecked. While he has expressed interest in tackling the Middle East next, logistical challenges currently make it difficult. After completing his journey in China, where he has been intensely tryharding for the past 11 months, he plans to take a break. Primarily a midlane player, his highest peak rank was achieved on his home server, Europe West, where he reached an impressive 1485 LP.
Who is NoWay?
A pillar of the German-speaking League of Legends community, NoWay, now 33, has become one of the most recognizable figures in his country—not only thanks to his competitive days, but even more so as a content creator. In 2020, he joined forces with fellow German creators to revive the org “No Need Orga” (NNO), sparking one of the most remarkable success stories in Germany’s LoL scene. Proof of their impact came with the NNO roster’s Prime League Division 2 championship in Summer 2022 and a hard-earned promotion to Division 1 soon after.
Following that promotion, the project split paths: NNO Prime was born with a new, younger lineup, while NoWay and his former Division 2 teammates kept competing in DACH’s smaller tournaments under “NNO Old”. One of their brightest moments came in 2024, a year ago, when they bested back-to-back World champions T1 in a showmatch at “Red Bull League of Its Own.”
