Sheep Esports asked Nemesis when he expected his next pentakill.
āThat's a really good question,ā the Los Ratones midlaner replied ahead of the EMEA Mastersāan event
eventually won by his team.
āI would love to say this year, but I also have a lot of players on my team who, you know, really take kills and are charismatic. So, itās not going to be easy. But I guess this year.ā On Wednesday, the former Fnatic player fulfilled that prophecy, securing the third pentakill of his careerāand his first since 2019.
The pentakill came during Game 1 of Los Ratones' opening playoffs series against DMG Esports. At the 24-minute mark, with LR already holding an 8,000-gold leadā3,000 of which came from Nemesis alone over Sebastian "Bisgaard" SĆørensenāthe midlaner cleaned up all five eliminations with his Yone. The spree began with a kill in the midlane alongside his teammates, followed by three more almost single-handedly under DMG's tier-three mid turret, before the team closed out the sequence with the final elimination beneath the Nexus towers.
Los Ratones swiftly closed out the game and repeated their dominance in Game 2 to claim the series. With this win, LR advanced to Round 2 of the Spring Playoffs, remaining undefeated in this split (4-0 in the group stage). More impressively,
Marc āCaedrelā Lamontās squad has dropped just a single game in the NLC since the start of the year. They cruised through the Winter Split, losing only one game during the upper bracket final against NORD. At this stage, their record in the Northern league is nearly flawless: 20 wins, 1 loss.
In the next round, LR will face NORD Esportsāthe Winter Split runner-up and recent victor over Venomcrest. Meanwhile, both DMG Esports and Venomcrest have dropped into the lower bracket and will have no second chances. As a reminder, the two finalists of this split will qualify for the EMEA Masters Spring, where theyāll aim to defend the title LR secured earlier in March.
