After five years in the LCK and a year and a half in the LPL, Morgan embarks on his first LCS adventure
After four years with OKSavingsBank BRION in the LCK, Park "Morgan" Ru-han is expected to join Team Liquid as their new toplaner ahead of the 2026 LCS season. This change was first shared by sources to Sheep Esports and has now been announced by Team Liquid on X.
The South Korean player will replace Jeong “Impact” Eon-young, one of the most seasoned and respected toplaners in the history of both the LCS and professional League of Legends, who announced his departure mid-September.
During the offseason, Team Liquid held tryouts in South Korea to find its new toplaner. The team initially pursued Song “Clear” Hyeon-min, who ultimately chose to stay with BNK FearX for next year. They also ran extensive tryouts with Cho “Castle” Hyeon-seong, but after TL decided to commit to Morgan, Castle re-signed with Disguised.
Do you think Morgan can become one of the best toplaners in the LCS?
Morgan’s signing marks another major change for Team Liquid as the team finalises its revamped 2026 lineup. Alongside veterans Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in and Sean "Yeon" Sung, Morgan joins a roster that also features Lim "Quid" Hyeon-seung, who was recently reported to join the organisation this offseason. He also becomes the third player on the roster to have started his career in the South Korean circuit, joining CoreJJ and Quid in representing the region’s long-standing competitive legacy.
Filling Impact's shoes
Morgan will make his first move to North America as Team Liquid’s new toplaner for the 2026 season. The Korean veteran spent the early years of his career in the LPL with short stints at JD Gaming and Team WE, before spending a year with Hanwha Life Esports and later establishing himself at BRION as one of the region’s most seasoned toplaners.
Although he never had the chance to compete on a title-contending roster, he was part of Hanwha Life’s 2021 lineup that reached the quarterfinals of the World Championship alongside Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon. Morgan is also the reigning KeSPA Cup champion, having lifted the 2024 trophy after BRION defeated Dplus KIA and Heo “ShowMaker” Su’s newly formed roster in the finals. He was also named the finals MVP back then.
He now joins one of the most decorated teams in North America and will face the heavy task of filling the spot left by Impact, the 2024 LCS Summer MVP. For reference, Team Liquid has captured six domestic titles between 2018 and today, including their Split 1 championship in 2025 that secured the team a slot at the first-ever First Stand event. Ironically, that very tournament marked the beginning of the organisation’s downturn, as Liquid collapsed at the event with a last-place finish and failed to finish higher than fourth in Split 2 later that year. They barely played 13 games in Split 3, a clear sign of how urgently the organisation needed change after their struggles.
This year, Morgan will once again participate in the KeSPA Cup, but with his new team. Indeed, Team Liquid is one of the participating teams. In the meantime, Toplaner Shin "Casting" Min-je joined OK BRION for 2026 following Morgan's departure.

- Top: Park "Morgan" Ru-han
- Jungle: Brandon Joel "Josedeodo" Villegas
- Mid: Lim "Quid" Hyeon-seung
- ADC: Sean "Yeon" Sung
- Support: Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in
