Piero is the reigning LFL and EMEA Masters champion
Here’s an announcement that’s bound to make waves on the French scene. Solary, one of the French clubs with the largest League of Legends fanbase, has just announced this Friday, November 21, the signing of their new support player — none other than Kim "Piero" Jung-hun. The Korean nearly found himself in the LEC, as one of the final candidates to join Fnatic in that position, but will instead continue his journey in the LFL — a league he completely dominated over the past year.
Piero indeed comes off a remarkable season. Almost an unknown when he joined Karmine Corp Blue in January 2025, he went on to win Flash In, the Summer Split, and the 2025 EMEA Masters — each time in convincing fashion. Even if Karmine Corp Blue’s regular seasons were somewhat uneven, the team was always a powerhouse in playoffs, often through its dominant botlane. This time, Piero will team up with Berat "Aetinoth" Tıknazoğlu on Solary’s botlane, and the duo could very well become one of the highest-ceiling pairs in the league.
The best support in LFL
Originally trained in the DRX Academy in South Korea through the academic circuit and later in the LCK CL, Piero made his way to the EMEA region in 2024 with Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition before joining Karmine Corp Blue. His 2025 season was nothing short of exceptional: with a 68% win rate over the year, he was frequently placed on tanky picks such as Alistar, Rell, Braum, and Leona.
His efficiency was unmatched, reflected in one of the highest gold-per-minute averages across the entire EMEA region (261). His synergy with Thomas "3XA" Foucou was equally impressive, as their duo reached level 2 first in 64% of their lanes — a testament to their early-game management and aggressive playstyle.
Piero is a support known for his creativity, often reminiscent of Zdravets “Hylissang” Galabov in his prime. By staying one more year in the LFL, his goal will be to help Solary qualify for the first EMEA Masters in their history — and who better for that task than one of the reigning champions?
A new challenge
The early part of next season will be unfamiliar for the team, which has competed in the LFL since the launch of the competition in 2019. Instead of beginning with the usual schedule, the French elite plans, as previously reported by Sheep Esports, to start 2026 with an entirely original tournament: the LFL Invitational.
This large event is set to bring together roughly twenty teams drawn from various corners of the French ecosystem — current LFL lineups, Division 2 rosters, Game Changers teams, and even squads built around influencers. Rather than being just a showcase, the Invitational will decide which teams claim the final slots for the two upcoming regular LFL splits.
Solary's reported roster for 2026:
- Top: TBD
- Jungle: Lanzo "Zicssi" Ciajolo
- Mid: Kang "Jool" Dong-su
- ADC: Berat "Aetinoth" Tıknazoğlu
- Support: Kim "Piero" Jung-hun
