GIANTX, Team Heretics, G2 Esports and Movistar KOI featured in the Team of the Week
The LEC Summer Split 2025 regular season came to a close with four best-of-threes played over two days. On Monday, August 25, G2 Esports handed SK Gaming a tough defeat, denying them the single game they needed to secure playoffs. Later that day, Team Heretics punched their ticket to playoffs by taking down Team BDS. On Tuesday, August 26, Movistar KOI struggled but eventually overcame Team Vitality, while GIANTX closed out the regular season with a win over Natus Vincere in a series that only mattered for seeding, as NAVI were already eliminated.
The Sheep Esports LEC Team of the Week — with a maximum of two players per team — features Eren "Lot" Yıldız in the toplane, Javier "Elyoya" Prades in the jungle, Rasmus "Caps" Winther in midlane, Oh "Noah" Hyeon-taek as AD carry, and Paul "Stend" Lardin as support. Elyoya earns Most Valuable Player honors this week, delivering standout performances in the series against Team Vitality.
Top: Lot
The Turkish toplaner delivered a strong series against NAVI. In Game 1, his Sion went up against Adam "Adam" Maanane’s Olaf, which he handled impressively, even finding a solo kill in a two-phase 1v1 on side lane. Game 2 was an even bigger stomp for GIANTX, with Lot showcasing a well-controlled Aurora performance to close out the series in under 22 minutes, securing third place in the group.
Jungle: Elyoya (MVP)
Elyoya is our jungler of the week and also the MVP, posting a combined 9/1/21 score in Movistar KOI’s series against NAVI. In Game 1, his unkillable Poppy was at the heart of nearly every play for the Spanish side, while in Game 2 his Wukong looked even more dominant—untouchable in the early game and leading every engage in the late game. Elyoya was the metronome for KOI, making his spot in the team of the week, and especially as MVP, more than deserved.
Mid: Caps
G2 completely stomped SK Gaming 2-0, crushing their playoff hopes that relied on just one Nexus win. All five G2 players executed flawlessly, and it wouldn’t have been surprising to see any of them in this week’s TOTW. By far the best team in Europe this regular season, G2 closed with four best-of-threes, eight games played and eight victories. Our pick, however, goes to Caps, the Danish midlaner who embodies the team’s consistency and stability. A flawless Annie performance, followed by a solid Orianna showing, highlighted his control as G2 dominated the series from start to finish, locking first place while remaining undefeated.
ADC: Noah
This is Noah’s second appearance in a Sheep Esports team of the week this Summer Split. While his first came after a loss, this time it follows a solid victory against NAVI—a must-win for GIANTX to secure third place. In the final series of the 2025 regular season, Noah shone on Varus with a 10/0/6 scoreline and nearly 44,000 damage. His Ezreal in Game 2 required less impact in a one-sided match, though he still had a lighthearted moment in lane when a 1v1 trade ended with the minion wave finishing the kill after his death.
Support: Stend
Since joining the LEC, the French support has been steadily showcasing his value with Team Heretics. With their playoff hopes on the line, Heretics had no choice but to deliver—and they did just that. Stend and his AD carry Victor "Flakked" Lirola are building stronger synergy week after week, and both had a solid series. Whether on Nautilus, Rakan, or Leona, Stend kept his play sharp, pushing limits without overcommitting and finding well-timed engages. It marks a successful rookie year in the LEC for the French support, confirming his rise into Europe’s tier-one scene after six years competing in the ERLs.
